What can I do to help my skin stay healthy?

Even if you see an advertisement that says it can remove all your wrinkles and make you fifteen years younger – it may be tempting but not very believable. Humans are organic and we don’t need toxins or chemicals added to our systems. The removal of these by our body takes energy, energy that can be used for important functions that keep your body working well.
Eating foods high in antioxidants is a good idea so that your body can remove toxins from your body and stay healthy. Antioxidants help not only your skin but your whole body stay young and healthy.

Reduce or stop smoking if you can manage it. Smoking affects your skin and also the muscles around your mouth become stretched and wrinkled because of the sucking motion of smoking. If you can not stop smoking be sure to take extra care to nurture and care for your skin, especially using organic cleaners and moisturizers to reduce the toxic load on skin.
Buy and install a chlorine filter on your shower head. We absorb chlorine when we bathe and we don’t need to subject our face and body to chlorine and (SOCs/VOCs). Chlorine and other chemicals strip the natural protective oils from skin and hair, causing excess drying and ageing. In addition to the obvious health benefits of showering in chemical-free water, the cosmetic benefits are even more noticeable. You would have noticed the effects of swimming in a chlorinated pool and the harsh drying effect that chlorine has on your skin and hair. Without the negative effects of chlorine and other chemicals found in tap water, your skin and hair retain moisture more effectively for a younger, healthier look and feel. Chemical-free water also extends the life of hair colorings and highlights.
Drink more filtered water to help your body function better. Can you imagine washing the kitchen floor without enough water. It won't get clean will it? Neither will your body be able to clean and remove toxins and unneeded debris.

What products can help my acne?
Acne is caused by the oil-secreting glands of the skin that produce eruptions on the face, neck, and shoulders. The process to help your skin if you have acne is:
Wash your face with gentle soap that is fragrance free and has soothing ingredients. Rinse and pad dry.
Use an organic cleanser that reduces the inflammation and eruptions while helping the skin to heal.
Use a good moisturizer that feeds the skin the moisture it needs, (even oily skin need moisture) and try not to touch your face again until you repeat this process 12 hours later.
Use organic sunscreen if you are going to be out in the sun during the day.
Remember to be very gentle with your skin when washing and applying any products. Irritation can increase redness and inflammation, so use soft strokes when applying cleanser or cream to your skin.
What can I do to slow the process of aging of my skin?

Why Isn't My Hair Shampoo Foaming?
When you change from conventional shampoo to organic it will take awhile before you remove all the chemicals and additives from your hair. While this is happening our shampoo will not suds as much as your old shampoo used to in the past. Be patient, the sudsing will come back after you have restored the pH of your hair - usually after the first few washings.
Why does organic cost more?
Organic foods don’t always cost more. Some items, such as coffee, cereal, bread, and even hamburger, may cost the same or even less than their conventional products. As the demand for organics continues to increase, the cost will continue to come down. When the cost is higher, consider these facts:
- Organic farmers don’t receive federal subsidies like conventional farmers do. Therefore, the price of organic food reflects the true cost of growing.
- The price of conventional food does not reflect the cost of environmental cleanups that we pay for through our tax dollars.
- Organic farming is more labor and management intensive.
- Organic farms are usually smaller than conventional farms and so do not benefit from the economies of scale that larger growers get.
What does the USDA Organic seal mean?
The USDA (US Drug Administration), ACO (Australian Certified Organics), CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) Organic seal assures consumers of the quality and integrity of organic products. Organic-certified operations must have an organic system plan and records that verify compliance with that plan. Operators are inspected annually in addition there are random checks to assure standards are being met.
How would I know if something is organic?
The USDA (US Drug Administration), ACO (Australian Certified Organics), CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) has identified three categories of labeling organic products:
100% Organic: Made with 100% organic ingredients
Organic: Made with at least 95% organic ingredients
Made With Organic Ingredients: Made with a minimum of 70% organic ingredients with strict restrictions on the remaining 30% including no GMOs (genetically modified organisms)
Products with less than 70% organic ingredients may list organically produced ingredients on the side panel of the package, but may not make any organic claims on the front of the package.
What does “organic” mean?
Simply stated, organic produce and other ingredients are grown without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms, or ionizing radiation. Animals that produce meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products do not take antibiotics or growth hormones.
The USDA National Organic Program (NOP) defines organic as follows:
Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations. Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones. Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation. Before a product can be labeled "organic," a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA and ACO organic standards. Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be certified, too.
Who formulated Pure Anada natural mascara?
Mascara is one of the most difficult products to formulate; especially a natural alternative. Our goal was to produce the best natural mascara on the market. Not only did it have to contain a majority of natural ingredients, it also had to stay on lashes all day!
Through a chain of events, we were made aware of a chemist in Europe who specializes in mascara. He formulated Pure Anada natural mascara for us, however it is filled and packaged at our facility in Morden, Manitoba.
I have sensitive eyes. Will this mascara be any different than other products on the market?
Pure Anada mascara is formulated to be PH balanced for eyes. The PH of skin and hair is 4.5-5.5. Our eyes have a PH of 7. If a mascara is not properly PH balanced it will burn and sting your eyes. In our trial studies, we did not encounter anyone who experienced a burning or stinging sensation! This is extremely exciting, since mascara is often a problematic product in this regard.
Will Pure Anada natural mascara make my lashes appear fuller, thicker and longer?
You better believe it! The formula produces amazing volume! Most women found that Pure Anada mascara generated more volume than mainstream brands that claim the same thing.
Other natural mascaras I have tried, do not stay on my lashes for the whole day. What can I expect from Pure Anada natural mascara?
This is where it was critical for us to rise above the competition. What is the point in wearing a natural product, if it runs into your eyes and down your face?
Our mascara will deliver the results you are looking for! It is water-resistant, but not water-proof. Therefore it is easily removed with a gentle oil based cleanser. (Pure Anada Lavender & Chamomile Calming Cleanser)
Is Pure Anada natural mascara vegan?
Because of the ingredient "Shellac", our mascara is not vegan. Shellac is produced by an insect (similar to beeswax). This ingredient mimics synthetic polymers. We chose shellac because it is "natural" or from nature.
Pure Anada natural mascara is 97% natural. What does this mean? Why not make it 100% natural?
To us, natural means "from nature". The last 3 ingredients in our formula are not grown or harvested from nature in any way. They are necessary ingredients to the success of our formula, and do not pose any health risks.
Aqua Glam Nail Polish FAQ
What should I do to prepare my nails before putting on the polish?
Simply clean your nails with polish remover or soap and water. Healthy nails naturally produce a mixture of oils and proteins, which serve to protect, beautify and enhance their appearance. Normal nail polishes remove these substances from the nail, requiring the user to prepare their nails with other products. However, since Go Natural Nail Polish is a waterborne polish, it does not remove the oils so your nails remain strong and healthy.
How long will it take for my nails to dry?
Aqua Glam dries to a tack-free state nearly as fast as regular polish. We recommend you use multiple thin coats since they will dry faster than one thick coat. Apply the second coat after 45-60 seconds and the third coat in 60-90 seconds. If your hands are cold, the temperature is cool, or there is high humidity in the area, it may take longer for the coats to dry.
A good way to know that the polish is ready is by a cool sensation on your nails from the evaporation of the water in the polish.
When is it safe to wash my hands without disrupting the polish?
Hands can be used for normal activities including submersion in cold water after approximately 15 to 20 minutes without harming the polish. The polish will withstand washing and shampooing in hot soapy water after an hour or so.
When is it safe to garden and do other hand activities without scratching the polish?
Since Aqua Glam Polish does not use harsh chemicals, it will take approximately 4 to 6 hours for ultimate hardness to be reached. Thus, one should avoid activites, which could scratch the surface for several (4-6) hours. We recommend you apply the polish in the evening so it will be strong enough for most activities the next morning.
When will my nail polish wear off?
Short nails for active women might begin to show slight wear at the tips in approximately 2 to 3 days but, in general, if care is exercised in the first several hours the polish can last for 4 to 5 days.
Can I touch up my nails if I scratch them?
Yes. Because the films are indeed quite thin unless multiple coats are applied, worn areas at the tips and even scratches and chips can be touched-up to re-create a nearly new appearance, adding a day or two to the effective durability. And because the polish is odorless and dries quickly, this is easy to do anywhere, anytime.
How hard is it to remove the polish? Do I need nail polish remover?
The polish can be removed within 1-4 days with Aqua Glam Polish Remover or rubbing alcohol. However, afterwards, the polish becomes increasingly more difficult to remove particularly for dry, porous nails or toenails. At about 5-6 days a nail polish remover will be necessary. Removing polish from toenails can be a little more difficult. Soaking with a cotton ball helps.
Why does my nail polish look milky? Is it still safe to use?
Some of the polishes may have a milky appearance that will disappear upon drying. The polish is still fine to use and will appear vibrant on your nails.
